The client was an ethical T-Shirt brand looking for something “a bit different”; rather than simply design an e-commerce site and brand identity, I was also involved with the design of the product – producing quality graphic T-Shirt prints for men, women and children.
Recognising that the online T-Shirt market is a crowded one, Brand Gnu designs needed to stand out, whilst appealing to a range of ages. The brand identity also needed to communicate the environmental and socially responsible ethics behind the business.
I made sure Brand Gnu’s visual identity was geared toward promoting the “feel good factor”; having fashion fun whilst being positive, uplifting and issue aware.
I expanded the retail offering on the website, there was an editorial content strategy, offering news and competitions; which made the site a destination as well as a shop.
10% of profits from the sale of clothing were to be donated to Shrewsbury Mencap Society.
